"Honestly, it's one of the worst apps for a sports league I've used. It's a shame that going direct to an organisation like the afl and getting such a poor experience. The quality of the streams when casting is just embarrassing more than 50% of the time. No it's not the speed of my network. I can get better streams from illegal sources, which begs the question, "why do i bother paying?" If i watch live I choose the illegal stream despite paying for this app so i get a real HD stream."

"Works flawlessly across all of my android and windows devices. Can cast to TV with out issue (from a range of Samsung devices and HP laptops to Samsung tv). No problems on mobile data either 4g or 5g. Works perfectly with Amazon silk browser on the Samsung TVs as well."

"I am totally appalled at the complete lack of response from watch afl. I have emailed them literally 6 times to no avail. They have taken money from my account yet I haven't received a confirmation email so I can't watch any games. All I get is a message saying invalid or unauthorised subscription because they obviously haven't activated my subscription.Don't even deserve 1 star."

"Every year there is always some drama with having my club membership recognized so I can use the app. WatchAFL are typically unresponsive and unhelpful in that horrible Australian way. Help tickets you raise with the none-existant Support team are just ignored."

"Trying to watch a game replay and it starts in the middle of the 4th of another game. Can't scroll accurately through a game cause the tools are useless. For the cost of the subscription you definitely expect a better app to use the service. No support for Smart TVs is atrocious."

"The app works really well but the pricing is ridiculous. For example there is a price per week until the grand final week when that option is removed and replaced by a 1 month option at near double the price. But it is generally too high maybe because there is, to me, a lot of uninteresting 'bonus' content (i.e. not games) thrown in so why not make that optional for those who want to pay extra for it, a bit cheaper for those who don't. Or whatever to get the price down."

"Incremental skipping back and forth is extremely difficult. Even moreso if you are casting to another screen. It's also slower than it needs to be."

"Do NOT try to use this app with Chromecast. Connectivity is spotty at best. Customer support is spotty at best...they'll try to tell you it's your problem. This is the ONLY app I have a problem casting through Chromecast. Reading reviews, apparently this is an ongoing problem that they thought would be fixed by "optimizing" to Chromecast 3G... but no. Prepare for utter frustration using this app with Chromecast."
